MED HARDY SPICER BOLT KIT

Description
The MED heavy-duty EN24T steel Hardy Spicer coupling bolt kit comes complete with eight precision-machined stud bolts and upgraded high quality K nuts. We'd consider these an essential upgrade when running the MED HD driveshafts and Hardy Spicer couplings.
These are used with great success on all types of competition Minis.
Torque to 24lb.ft
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do these bolts fit?

These fit between the Hardy Spicer coupling joints and the output shafts of the classic Mini gearbox, or more specifically the output shaft adapters. The bolt heads have a flat specifically to fit the couplings.
What spec are the bolts?

These are machined from EN24T steel, and chemi-black treated. Threads are 5/16" UNF.
What size spanner will I need?

You will need to use a stubby 3/8" AF spanner. For fast engine changes, we use a modified (slimmed down) spanner, as it can be quite fiddly.
How tight should the nuts be?

It's recommended to torque these up to 24lb.ft, however it can be difficult to access with a torque wrench when in situ, so nip-up with the spanner mentioned above and check at service intervals. On a more powerful competition Mini with slick tyres, regular spanner checks are advised between races.
