DOUBLE ROLLER BEARING
Description
The use of high quality bearings is a must within the A-Series transmission; we only supply bearings that we would use ourselves in competition engines.
The double roller bearing supports the gearbox mainshaft and is suitable for all transmissions apart from very early three-synchro 'boxes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where does this bearing fit?
The double roller bearing supports the main shaft in the centre of the classic Mini gearbox housing, and takes the majority of load, as it sits closest to the final drive gears.
When do I need to install a new gearbox double roller bearing?
We would always change this bearing as part of a gearbox rebuild. It may also be worth replacing if the engine has developed a major problem and needs a rebuild, as the classic Mini shares its engine and transmission oil.
What brand of bearing is this?
We only supply premium brand bearings that we would use in our own cars. Typically we use RHP for the double roller bearing.
Will this fit all classic Mini gearboxes?
Yes, so long as it still has an A-Series engine fitted!
What is the original Rover part number for this bearing?
These are the same fitment as AAU1365.
