Frequently Asked Questions
Where do these bearings fit?

The two split plastic cage needle roller bearings sit between the main shaft and gear cluster on the classic Mini gearbox. The solid plastic cage bearing sits on a top hat sleeve that slides onto the mainshaft.
Which bearings do I need?

You will need two of the split bearings, for 2nd/3rd gear, and one solid for first gear.
Do I always need to change them?

For the relatively low cost, we would always change these bearings as part of a gearbox rebuild. They do last well, but if there has been any contaminants in the oil, it may have all passed through all the bearings and this will cause premature wear.
Is the price for a set, or individual?

The price is for a single bearing.
