Description

Our 4-inch (101.6mm) diameter alternator pulley is CNC machined from lightweight billet aluminium and anodised black to match our range of pulleys and dampers.

It is specifically designed to suit the MED Race Alternator, which comes with fitted with a 2.65-inch (67.3mm) pulley.

The larger pulley reduces the risk of alternator damage on high-RPM applications, by effectively slowing the alternator's shaft speed.

Please note, the pulley's offset will not suit standard-fitment alternators.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit all classic Minis?

This pulley is designed to fit the MED Race Alternator with a 17mm diameter input shaft, and will not suit a standard style. The pulley's offset is also designed specifically with this unit in mind.

Do you know which size fan belt I will need?

It depends on the crankshaft pulley and water pump pulley diameters. We would suggest either 825mm or 838mm - also available in our web shop - depending on your combination of pulley diameters.

Is it essential to use this pulley on an MED Race alternator?

The larger pulley reduces the risk of alternator damage on high-RPM applications, by effectively slowing the alternator's shaft speed. For fast road use the standard pulley may be ok, but for race use this is a must-fit.
