CAMSHAFT TRIANGLE PLATE
Description
A replacement camshaft 'triangle' thrust plate (AHU2379) as fitted to the end of the cam in the block.
Some choose to re-use the original plate, but we'd usually recommend fitting a new one as part of an engine rebuild.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do I need to change this?
Usually when the original plate wears, as you will end up with too much end float on the camshaft. With everything tightened up we would suggest setting the camshaft end float to 0.003-0.007".
How thick is this plate?
These measure 0.091" thick.
Are these the same for all A-Series engines?
Yes
Does it come with fixings?
No, sorry. You will need to re-use the original fixings. If installing one of our timing chain kits, these are supplied with low profile button head screws for the triangle plate.
What is the original part number for this plate?
It's usually listed as AHU2379, or alternatively TAM2014.
