A replacement oil seal for the popular MED rear main conversion on inline A-Series engines.

Please note this is for inline engines (Midget, Sprite etc) not Mini, and will require the fitment of an MED main seal kit, or steel caps with the main seal kit.

Where does this oil seal fit on an A-Series engine?

This seal is designed specifically for the inline 1275 Sprite/Midget engine with 2" main bearing journals, but only when fitted with an MED rear oil seal conversion. It will not fit a standard engine, nor a Mini.

Do I need to use any sealer?

We'd recommend RTV silicone sealer, used very sparingly around the seal. Excess sealer is likely to be ingested by the engine or block the oil feed pipe, so only use the bare minimum.
