Description

Rubber oil seal for most 998 and Cooper S engines (1966 onwards) with the removable tappet chest covers.

These are not part of the usual Engine Gasket Set, so you will require a pair during a full rebuild/refresh.

Which A-Series engines does this fit?

All small-bore engines and 1275 Cooper S engines from 1966 onwards. You will need two per engine. The early Cooper S engines used a cork version of this gasket instead.

Where on the engine do these fit?

On the rear of the block, under the exhaust manifold, where there are two removable plates to access the pushrods and cam followers. Most 1275 engines are solid here, without the access plates.
