For longevity and ease of fitment, we prefer these to the captive nut/threaded variety.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will these engine mounts suit all Minis?

Yes, all apart from automatic Minis, which have a slightly wider front subframe to accommodate the different gearbox.

What can I do if my Mini's engine/gearbox is a really tight fit to the subframe?

It's always a snug fit when new engine mounts are installed. We tend to use a tapered pry bar to align one hole first, then install a nut and bolt on the adjacent hole. Now move to the opposite side of the car and repeat, before getting the remaining two fixings in place. Some wiggling of the engine and patience will be required.

Are these suitable for racing Minis?

Yes we would use these on all cars, from standard road cars to full race. Rather than fit solid mounts on a race Mini, we would recommend Rose-jointed engine and gearbox steadies, but retain the rubber engine mounts.
