CLASSIC MINI FAN BELT

Description
High quality Gates fan belt for any A-Series application, apart from the very last MPi cars that used a multi-rib belt.
We keep three V-belt types, with the following as a rough guide on length;
- 813mm, to suit most early cars, pre-1980, or others with small pulleys
- 825mm, for use with an MED S-pulley, standard alternator and 4.220" water pump pulley
- 838mm, for MED S-pulley, large alternator pulley and/or 4.770" water pump pulley
To be certain, we would suggest measuring the fan belt run the best you can and choosing the closest length, within 10mm.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which car do these belts suit?

Any classic car with an A-Series engine - so Mini, Sprite, Minor, Metro, etc. The exception are the late Rover MPi Minis with a multi-rib belt, or any car with air conditioning, like Japanese market Minis.
Can you tell me exactly which belt I will need?

It's tricky to be sure on this, but the recommendations above will get you in the right ballpark. Remember that there is a decent level of adjustment on the alternator brackets.
How long would you expect the belt to last?

These are one of the best quality belts on the market, so we would expect many years of use. That said, for the cost involved, having a spare fan belt in the boot of your Mini is highly recommended on a longer road trip! The belt drives the water pump, fan and alternator, so is pretty vital.
