MED T3 A-SERIES TURBO CAMSHAFT

All MED camshafts are machined from cross-drilled steel blanks by Piper Cams, never re-profiled, so you can be assured of the highest quality product.
The T3 camshaft has been designed specifically for high performance forced induction A-Series engines, with close attention to the valve overlap period.
This profile gives 264-degrees of inlet duration and 278-degrees on the exhaust, but with a reduced overlap period (inlet and exhaust open simultaneously) compared to our RS fast road cam. It is especially well paired to a set of our 1.3:1 ratio roller-tip rockers.
The latest evolution has been developed using Piper Cams’ 50-plus years of high performance camshaft experience.

What is this camshaft designed for?
High powered turbo A-Series engines. If you are building a highly tuned turbo engine, this is the camshaft for you. For a more mild turbo engine, we have found good results with the MED HT.
Can I run 1.5 ratio rockers?
Yes we have supplied these as a kit with 1.5 rockers before, but the extra lift is not always as beneficial with a turbo setup, so we usually recommend the 1.3 version.
What else will I need to accompany this camshaft?
Ideally look at our St1-St3 camshaft kits, as these are supplied with everything you may need for installation and setup. We also keep a special 18cc dish Omega forged piston, which is particularly popular for turbo engine builds.
Can I run this in a supercharged engine?
Yes it could be used in any A-Series engine, however it has been optimised specifically for use with a turbo, so we likely have a more suitable cam profile in the regular fast road options. The RS works particularly well with a supercharger installation.
