STEEL-SHIM HEAD GASKET - 73.5MM

These uprated gaskets consist of three thin steel shims, riveted together to form a thickness of 0.030-inch. This particular gasket is custom-made by Cometic to suit 1275 engines offset bored to 73.5mm.

The dry-deck gasket is unique to MED and features blank water gallery holes, saving much machining time and cost on blanking the original water galleries in the block.

• 73.5mm offset bores to suit 1380/1460 competition engines

• 0.030" thick

• 3.15cc crushed volume

• Dry deck or regular style

• Multi-layer steel gasket

• Stainless steel outer layers coated for high temperature/chemical resistance 

• PTFE topcoat for resistance to fret and improved cold sealing

We also keep a version for the BMW K1100 motorbike head conversion, which is slightly thicker at 0.052-inch.

It's recommended to lightly file of the edge of engine number tag location - just enough material for the gasket to sit flush.
