Description

A set of core plugs and brass oil gallery plugs to refresh your block as part of a full rebuild.

We keep four different options, as below;

1275 A-Series/A-plus, 33.6mm cup plug x5
998 A-Plus, 33.6mm cup plug x4
848/998/1098 A-Series, 41.4mm convex plugs x4
Cooper S, 41.4mm cup plugs x4

All 1275 kits include four brass oil gallery plugs, 848-1098 have just two.

Please note, the oil gallery plugs will not suit MPi Mini blocks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need new core plugs during an engine rebuild?

Typically we would always fit a new set during a complete rebuild, yes, as it allows the block to be chemically cleaned all through the water and oil galleries. Older core plugs can also rust from the inside out.

Is sealer required on the core plugs?

A light smear of RTV silicone sealer would be advised, yes.
